about us

How I got here and there with my sister.

diane.

Started helping my father in our darkroom in our basement from about age 10. Dad handed me a Pentax 35mm camera in my teens. Took that camera everywhere. To every concert including The Allman Brothers at the Filmore East and David Bowie's first concert at Carnegie Hall in NYC!

Dad bought me a 4x5 view camera and my first Hasselblad camera and lens. Moved to Florida in my yellow Volkswagen Beetle to attend Miami Photography College. Worked in several professional photo labs, learning about color. Landed my first real professional photographer position in a commercial studio with partners, one being my sister Susan. My own studio.    :) The rest is history...

I also helped my father in the darkroom, agitating the paper in the trays while standing on a step stool (I was little). We talked and talked about all kinds of things a little kid wants to know about. Found out I really liked to draw and photograph things. Got Diane's Pentax camera. Took art classes all through my pre-teen years. My very own Nikon FM camera!

Graduated Commercial Art in Scotch Plains, NJ Voc-Tec School, Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts, Middlesex College, and finally graphic art certification course at Union County College. Joined partnership with sister Diane. Happiness. Applying my graphic talents in my business: Our Studio Productions. Loving every minute.
